Maria and I have spent a brilliant long weekend in Espirito Santo, a state located in between Rio de Janeiro and Bahia which has some incredibly beautiful mountainous regions. The large rocky outcrop in the photo below is called PedrA Azul, which gives its name to the local area which has an eco-tourist route full of amazing little artisan restaurants, delis, eco-hotels and craft shops. The smaller (yet huge) rock formation on the side is called The Lizard.
We were staying at a small farm-holding with has an amazing garden which also includes a number of plots for vegetables and herbs.
I took the opportunity to plunge into the beauty of the richness of the nature, which also includes untouched Atlantic Forest, undertaking one of my photo studies which I have not had much time to do in recent months. So here is a selection of photos titled Patterns, Textures and Colours of Nature.
